NCWEDD ANNOUNCES 2023 PRIORITY PROJECT SELECTIONS

Wenatchee, WA. – The North Central Washington Economic Development District is pleased to announce its
annual selection of regional priority projects of economic significance.
Thirty-six projects from throughout Chelan, Douglas and Okanogan counties, and the Colville Confederated
Tribes submitted applications to either the NCWEDD or the Okanogan County Economic Alliance for the
ranking process. After careful review of the proposals, the committee ranked the projects based on a number of
established criteria, including measurable regional economic benefits, measurable community benefits, fully
developed plan and strategy, alignment with NCWEDD goals and objectives, and local and regional support.
Regional prioritization can result in different project emphases than those established on the county or
municipal levels.
New in 2023 the NCWEDD has prioritized ten projects from Okanogan County/Colville Confederated Tribes
and ten projects from Chelan/Douglas County.
The top projects will become part of the NCWEDD 2023 Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy
