The Community Economic Revitalization Board today approved a $2,250,000 low interest loan and a $750,000 grant for economic development and public infrastructure development targeting business growth and job creation in Douglas County.
The East Wenatchee Water District was awarded a $2,250,000 loan and a $750,000 grant for the “10th Street Domestic Water Booster Pump Station” project. This project consists of construction of a 1,600 square foot dual zone domestic water booster pump station for domestic water and fire protection.
The District’s Committed Private Partner, Microsoft Corporation, is investing $50,000,000 in the private project which is expected to create an estimated 60 high-tech information and communications technology jobs within five years. CERB funds are matched by $12,500,000 in private resources.
